Another tragedy struck in Lagos state on Tuesday, October 27, as a petrol station along Ajayi Road, Ogba area caught fire.

 According to eyewitnesses account the emergency respondents are at the scene. In a related development, a building in Isiu Town, in Ikorodu has reportedly collapsed but Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, are on their way to the scene.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are on their way to the scene. The fire incident adds to the number of recent fire outbreaks that have occurred in the state lately.

Weeks ago, a gas station in Baruwa, Ipaja area of the state was gutted by fire. Uprightblogonline.blogspot.com covered the fire outbreak which started around 6 am while emergency responders stormed the explosion site around 7 am.

 An elderly man was burnt in one of the houses close to the gas plant while two people who sustained injuries from the fire have been taken to the hospital for treatment. Several houses close to the gas plant were destroyed by the raging fire.

Meanwhile, Uprightblogonline.blogspot.com previously reported that a lot of houses, shops, and cars in Niger state went into flames on the night of Sunday, September 6, following a fire explosion from a tanker loaded with petrol.

 A collision of the petrol-laden tanker and a trailer caused the inferno that led to the disaster. It was gathered that the tragic accident led to the destruction of properties before the intervention of the fire service from Suleja.

In a related development, a fire outbreak occurred in Festac Town, Lagos in the early hours of Saturday, March 21, barely one week after a fatal explosion at the Abule Ado area of the state.

The latest incident was said to have occurred at L Close, 7th Avenue in Festac Town around 2am.
